TPSF12C1-Q1: Use with On-Board Charger (OBC)

Part Number: TPSF12C1-Q1
Other Parts Discussed in Thread: TPSF12C1, TPSF12C3

Hello,

I would like to use this product with an on-board charger (OBC).
I have several questions related to this:
(Question 1)
The input is DC 260V to 460V. Can this product be used with DC input?
The reference potential of the OBC's DC input is isolated from ground and is essentially floating.
(Question 2)
The datasheet states that the applicable frequency range (the area where noise is reduced) is 150kHz to 3MHz, but is 7MHz also supported?
I would like to know up to what frequency noise can be reduced.
(Question 3)
In an E2E post, it was stated that the EMI reduction effect is lost if there is only one CMC stage.
Can you explain the detailed operating principle of this?
(Question 4)
You provide a SPICE model for this product on your website. Can it be used with LTspice?

Best regards,

  • Hello,

Based on our prior experience with multiple OBC customers, TPSF12C1/TPSF12C3 have consistently shown high sensitivity to low-frequency disturbances, early saturation, and insufficient EMI improvement in the required frequency range due to fundamental limitations in the sensing and injection architecture.

We don't recommend this device for any new design.

    Hope this helps.

    Thanks for understanding.

    Regards,

    Sourish Nandy.
