TPSM843B22: Current decrease with temperature

Part Number: TPSM843B22

Manufacturers usually provide a graph showing the decrease in output current as a function of temperature. For this device family, I haven’t seen such data. Does this mean that the component is capable of delivering its maximum output current even at the maximum operating temperature? (20AMP&125Deg)

  • Ariel,

We don't have an SOA curve for this device. The 125 degree maximum temperature is for the device junction temperature. So, the device probably won't be able to provide 20A out at 125 C ambient, but as long as the junction is <125C, the device will switch.

    Hope this makes sense.
