bq24156A can be used as a standalone battery?

Hi,

we are planning to use bq24156A charger in a smartphone.As i understood the this is a host control charger. So when the battery is completely drained we will not be having any command so how can we charge the battery at that point?

our requirement will be 4.2V 1.5A.

With an input source applied, the charger will operate in DEFAULT mode for 15 minutes. You will need to ensure that the battery only discharges to the point where it can be recharged enough to power your host within 15 minutes.

Alternatively, you could switch to one of bq2416x parts with power path. It provides a separate SYS rail for the system.

In the default mode are we getting 3.5V and 300mA
