We are using the bq24620 charge IC on a 1s2p battery pack. In the datasheet, charge termination occurs in CV mode when the charge current drops below Icharge/10.
If our system is as follows:
[wall wart AC/DC 19V] - [bq24620evm] - [1s2p battery pack] - [3V3 B\B reg] - [1 W system load]
If our system load is > Icharge/10 then the charger will think the battery still needs charging and charge termination won't occur until the 5 hour time out is reached correct?
Is there a charger or charge circuit that is "smart" and will allow the charging of the battery while powering the system load without the use of multiple regulators?
