Connection of TS pin of BQ24167

On one of the posts, following circuit was shown for sharing of Battery Thermistor input between Battery charger and Fuel gauge:

The post said "From what I found in the literature the best solution is to connect the thermistor to the fuel gauge and use the BAT_GD signal to control the charger.

Connect BAT_GD from the gauge to CE on the charger while connecting the charger TS to ground through a 10K resistor "

The circuit was approved by a TI employee.

I want to know if the TS pin should be connected to DRV .

We are not using the TS functionality of charger and hence its TS functionality should be disabled by pulling the TS pin to DRV as per the datasheet.

Kindly clarify if the TS pin of charger should be grounded using 10K resistor or should it be connected to DRV.
