Hi,

I am using BQ24103 to charge a single cell Li Ion Battery. I need some clarifications regarding status pins.

Status pins from charger are taken to processor which shows the charging status on LCD based on status signals. The status is shown as "battery fault" when both STAT1 and STAT2 are high.

Now here is what is happening actually. I connect a discharged battery and DC supply (6V) to charge the battery. Battery charges as expected and charge done status also comes as expected. DC is kept connected even after charge completion. Now the product is powered by DC only and battery remains fully charged. But BQ24103 changes the status signals to a fault condition (Both STAT1 and STAT2 high). This happens when DC is kept connected for a long time (I do not have exact numbers but it is more than 5-6 hours) after charge completion.

Is this an expected behaviour? How can I take care of such condition?
