Dear Experts,
We are using in our design BQ24272 chip for charging one cell Li-Ion battery and managing the power path for the given application.
The chip it does as expected exceping one fact:
When the battery is depleted (Vbat reached Vbattuvlo =2.5V)-trough the external fet driven by the BGATE pin even when is off itt will a be current flowing trough the intrinsec diode of the FET
Question:
Can we overcome the above issue (avoiding depleting the battery below 2.5V) by using 2 MOSFET's P channel back to back?
If Yes, will the internal MOSFET 's diode conduct in the same manner or is in fact a back to back topology switch?
