help with the bq2005

Other Parts Discussed in Thread: BQ2005

Please help me.

Bq2005 sended the requests for now I do not know what to do. I have to charge device Set of 2 battery ni-mh and in the scheme dv2005l1 I understand from a minimum of 4 battery for chanel.

Founded in the documentation

Will it work this way and what op amp to use?

sorry for my English:)

  • The opamp boost the voltage of one/two cell voltage to the working range.

For two cell, the factor is 1.187, corresponding to 1V to 2V/cell range for NiMH battery.

The total voltage is 2V to 4V, times 1.187 is 2.375V to 4.75V which is the IC working range for BAT pin.

Any single supply opamp is fine, but low quiescent current is preferred due to low leakage current when it is not charging.

Tie the supply to EVM VCC 5V, use 1% or better resistors. Let EVM cell number selection jumper floating.
