USB linear charger has 100/500mA charge current limit. By using switching mode charger bq24150/1/2, input current limit is still 100/500mA while charging current can be higher than input current. Total charging time can be reduced by 10% compare with linear charger. It also can work in boost mode to provide 5V output from one cell battery to support USB OTG.
