Any plans to qualify the UCC27210 and UCC27211 to AEC-Q100? These are based on and include performance improvements over the UCC27200 and UCC27201 (which come in a Q1 version).

Hello Bradley,
Let me move this post over to the Power Forum to ensure the correct engineer will take a look at this question.

Bradley,
I will see if i can find out.
Bradley,
There are plans to qualify the IC but it presently does not have a high priority, Customers are using the UCC27200Q version but we need to gage the interest in the 211 and 210 versions. Can you tell us what the application is, power level, and voltages? Who is the customer? Anything you can tell us might change the priority.
Regards,
John
John,
The application is for an automotive bidirectional DC-DC converter (48v to 12v @ 450W). We would be using up to 6 MOSFET drivers per converter (multiphase). I have used the UCC27200 in the past, with some issues with failures. I would prefer to use the improved UCC27210/11 version.
Brad
Bradley,
Someone from the product group will get in touch with you.

John
Any update when/if TI will be getting automotive AEC-Q100 approvals for the UCC27210 and UCC27211 gate drivers?
