TPS62113 LBI hysteresis

Other Parts Discussed in Thread: TPS62113, TPS62051, TPS62160, TPS62110, TPS62140, TPS62125

hi! I use TPS62113 with enhanced LBI and found some problems. When Uin is close to LBI threshold some generation occurs. This generation is caused by pulse current that occurs because of enhanced LBI that switches on and off TPS62113. The hysteresis does not prevent  TPS62113 from the generation. Sorry for my Еnglish)))

  • Before I used TPS62051 (also with enhanced LBI) and there were no problems. The current scheme does not differ from the previous. I use  enhanced LBI to switch off scheme.

  • Hi Andrey,

Welcome to the forums.  I would direct your attention to the ground rules post at the top of this forum for information on better post titles.  I would like to ask that you put more information in your forum subject lines. This will help others in the future if they have a similar question.  One example would be to use “TPS62113 LBI hysteresis”  as the subject rather than just “TPS62113 problem”   More detailed subject lines are very important to help others know what the forum post is about.

I am not sure what you mean by 'generation' but there is this app note on adding hysteresis to the LBI signal: http://www.ti.com/lit/an/slva373/slva373.pdf

Additionally, instead of these older devices, the new TPS62140 and TPS62160 family devices may offer more performance in your system.  The TPS62125 also has a similar integrated SVS function, like the LBI input of the TPS62110.
