Does the LP8543 LED Driver Thermal Pad need to be connected?

Can it be connected to GND in a circuit for better heat sinking?

Hi Chip Slinger,

Yes, you connect the Thermal Pad to GND for better heat sinking. You could check out the AN-1187 from www.ti.com for more information on the LLP package and PCB design recommendations.
