LM317 Reverse Biasing Leakage Currents

Hi,

I am interested in using the LM317 as a simple current regulator for battery charging (I  < 20mA). The input voltage can be as high as 10Vdc max.

Any idea what the leakage current is when the input power is removed and the LM317 is reverse biased? 

Charger --> LM317 --> Battery

When charger is removed it is:

Battery --> LM317

Do you have any recommendation for an LDO replacement for LM317 in a constant current battery charging application?
