TPS62160/3 - Recommendation for new designs?

Hello,

I`m interested in TPS62160 / TPS62163.

Is it possible to see how old the dc/dc Converter is and if it is recommended for new designs?

    Welcome to the forums.  Please read the ground rules post at the top of this forum for tips on titling your posts so that they are useful to others and that the right person sees them and can respond.

    These devices are relatively new--they've been around about 1.5 years.  Our datasheets have dates at the top, where you can see about how old something is.  It is recommended for new designs, as are most of our old parts too.  It will be a great fit in your project.

    In general you can look at the publication date on the datasheet.  For the devices you mention, the release date is November 2011 with a revision in March of 2012, so this is a recent release.  Older parts that are not recommended for new design will clearly state such on the product page.
