Simple lipo charger

Other Parts Discussed in Thread: BQ24060

Hi there,

I'm a newbie to electronics. I'm looking at getting a pcb made up which will require a charger for a 2000mAh lipo battery. I saw the bq24060/64 (shown below), but i'm not sure if it is suitable for my needs.

I am after a standalone charger that I can easily connect my battery to, whilst it is connected to a load and doesn't require pins that need to be connected to a microcontroller. It would also be preferred if it could charge at 750mA+. Can someone please suggest the most suitable option. Thanks

  • By the way, if I used the bq24060/64 , could I just ignore the Power Good pin, and wire it as shown?
