Hello,
Maybe it is a very stupid question, but I am stil asking: is it allowed to connect the inputs of the LM2678 in series and the outputs parallel .

Hi Aat,
I'm assuming you meant you're paralleling the input supplies and also the outputs of multiple LM2678 regulators. Sharing the same input supply rail is not an issue, as long as you have local input decoupling for each one of the regulators. Paralleling the outputs will be a problem, because you'll have multiple control loops trying to regulate the output voltage. What you need to get is a voltage regulator that has the capability of current sharing. We have power modules (inductor included inside the package) such as our LMZ23608 (8A) version and LMZ23610 (10A) version of current sharing modules.
Please tell us more about your application needs and we can taylor a good solution for you: min and max VIN, VOUT, IOUT, set Frequency of operation, space restrictions, etc.
Best Regards,
-Juan
