Hi!,

I am designing Boost converter with help of SLVA372B Application Report,i need complete design for an application.for example, i specified my all input parameters as follows,

Vin(min)=8V

Vin (max) = 14V

Vout = 24V

Output current = 2A

frequency = 600kHz

Inductor current ripple = 30%

Diode voltage drop is 0.7V

What is the step by step procedure to calculate the other parameters and please provide the complete design calculation for the same.

I am confusing while calculating each step

1.Duty cycle calculation and efficiency calculation

2.Inductor ripple current calculation

3.Max o/p current calculation

4.Max switching current calculation

5.Inductor selection by using datasheet range or by using  formula

6.voltage swing calculation

7.input capacitor calculation

8.output capacitor calculation

9.Heat sink calculation

Please provide all the design calculations as soon as possible

    We'll recommend for you to use our LM3481 boost controller and use our Webench on-line tool to optimize your solution size, BOM costs and at the same time get simulations of your solution.  You'll get a finalized schematic and components list to work from.  If after going through this you still have questions please let us know.  Thank you for looking into our Simple Switcher ICs!
