LM25056 for low current measurement on Beagle Bone Black?

Other Parts Discussed in Thread: LM25056

Hi,

I am evaluating options to do embedded power measurements on a Beagle Bone Black, equipped with TI  AM335x 1GHz ARM® Cortex-A8.

The board is powered with +5V DC and peak current consumption should be around 500mA - 1A maximum (so using a 25 milliohms Rs to stay under 30mV max voltage)

I was wondering if LM25056 chip could be the perfect match for it?

The evaluation board is a clear selling point. However, I am not sure this product is designed for such low-power platforms: will measurements still be with the same accuracy in this range? I looked at the datasheet but didn't find accuracy data for measurements across the Vs voltage range (only across temperature at full scale)

Thanks for your support.

Patrick.
