TPS61054/TPS61055 for continuous LED use

Other Parts Discussed in Thread: TPS61054

Hello,

I'm developing a circuit to power a 240lm LED from two AA batteries continuously, and I'm looking for an LED driver for the high brightness LED. I found the TPS61054 which looks like it may work, but can the driver power an LED of these specs off of 3v? The specs for the LED are -

Forward Current 700mA

Forward Voltage 2.85v

More info - (http://www.mouser.com/Search/ProductDetail.aspx?R=XMLBWT-00-0000-000LT40E4virtualkey57280000virtualkey941-XMLBWT000LT40E4)

I'm worried that the driver will fail because the maximum supply current is 8mA, which seems awfully small to power a 700mA LED for continuous use.

Thanks!
