TPS3306-33 can be powered by 3.3V on VDD and sense 5V on SENSE1 ?

The maximum voltage for SENSE input is (VDD+0.3)VIT/1.25V (VIT = 4,55V for SENSE1)

Here the schematic, 2 circuits (for a total of 10) have 20mA supply current (!) [put PFI to GND not solve the problem]

Hi Jean,

What supply current are you refering to? the 3.3V supply current, 5V supply current? or the actual input current to VDD? Does the device still operate logically and RESET goes high and low during the appropriate sense thresholds and is WDI being driven as well? Lastly, does this high current condition occur when 5V is on VDD rather than 3.3V?

Hi Darwin,

Thank for your answer.

All seems OK, RESET is inactive, but I note a high supply current (difference between same card is approx 20mA) and the TPS3306 is warm.

The RESET output is connected on a 3.3V nand gate

Hi Jean,

Have you tried checking if the pull up resistor is correct? It might drawing more current causing the IC to heat up. Have you also tried resoldering on the IC or possibly replacing it?

I have change the pull-up with a 10k without success (the Iout max is 5mA).

I ll change the circuit today.
