if performing firmware-update with bqWizard from bq78pl114 to ...114s12, the voltage calibration has to be explicitly preserved ("... click the Preserve Calibration check box"...).

If uploading the firmware FW_...5000... by using the API, i do not have the possibility to explicitly preserve the calibration.

Is the calibration automatically preserved, if using the api.LoadFile?

If not, how can i preserve the voltage calibration if api is used?

The API tool should preserve calibration as well.

Dear Thomas,

Is the calibration automatically preserved, if using api.LoadFile(USBhandle, FW_...5000...) as single action, or do i have to perform some additional commands/actions?

You should not have to take extra actions, but you should verify it on one unit first. I have not tried upgrading the device using the API tool.

i found the same problem, asked for help in July '13, also not solved successfully :

seems to be more sophisticated to manage preserving the calibration if doing the firmware-upload by the api.

Any help out there??

Unfortunately, we no longer have tools team support for the PL114/Pl116 devices as they were moved to NRND status over 1.5 years ago. I have not tried upgrading the device using the API tool, but I do remember that it was a little tricky even with bqWizard.
