TPS62360: use I2C to ENABLE device?

Hello,

According to DS SLVSAU9C p.22 “enabling and disabling the device”:

"The I2C interface is operable when VDD and AVIN are present, regardless of the state of the EN pin."

Therefore it seems tempting to use I2C for enabling/disabling the device, saving an additional wire (plus VSEL0, VSEL1).

However searching through I2C programmable registers didn’t show any bit that could turn ON/OFF the device.

So is EN pin connection a must?
