TPS51200 VIN and VLDOIN voltage

Hello,

I want to use TPS51200 applying power as follows.

VIN=2.5V

VLDOIN=3.3V

According to the datasheet P1 FEATURES, explain “VLDOIN Voltage Range: 1.1 V to 3.5 V”

but TPS51200EVM User’s Guide Table 1(P3) explain “VLDOIN Voltage range (VLDOIN): 1.2V to 2.5V”.

Q1:

Please advice which is correct recommended VLDOIN range.

Q2:

And also advice if there is any restriction between VIN voltage and VINLDO voltage(for example VIN > VLDOIN).

Hi Toshio,

The datasheet is correct. VLDOIN could be up to 3.5V. There is no any restriction between Vin and VLDOIN. But if you you use higher VLDOIN with lower VTT output voltage, you may get higher power losses.
