Provide and email address and I will send a link to download a bqMTester setup that has been updated for the bq34z100.
Tom
thanks for the reply. sorry for delay in getting back to you.
I have since figured out what to do and have it working. the one thing that did frustrate me was the bq Tester ROM imager. It is fixed to communicate via the EV2300 via HDQ and has no option on the installed version to communicate via I2C.
I have since got it working by modifying the VB6 source code and putting a selection option to have I2C comms.
If anyone wants it, let me know.
Also, when using the bq Multi station Tester to install the .ROM file, it says it completes the process but i'm then unable to communicate with the device. After much playing about, i found that if i force the bq Evaluation software to my bq34z100 v 0.06 and goto I2C pro selection and click 'execute' the device can now be seen by the software via i2c.
i was wondering if you have any ideas why this would happen.
again, thanks for your help
Alan
sorry, i forgot one thing.
when creating the golden image file. is this the order i do it.
export gg file
modify gg file, (UPDATE to 2 and count to 0)
reload senc file
reload chemid, i use 181
import gg file from above
i'm not sure if i have to reload chemID. and would like some clarification on this.
many thanks
Alan
Alan,
Are you referring to the bqMTester ROM Imager program? If so, it works over the I2C port on the EV2300 and bq30z100.
On the golden file, you do have to load the ChemID and you have to order of the three files setup correctly. Note that there are two Cycle Count parameters in the gg file and both of them need to be set to 0.
Regards
Tom
