5962# Partnumber of LM117HVQML-SP

Other Parts Discussed in Thread: LM117HVQML-SP

Hi~

Our customer checking about  LM117HVQML-SP device.

If see datasheet, it mentioned 5962# Part number.

What is different that 5962R0722901VXA, 5962R0722902VXA, 5962R0722961VXA??

Please reply as soon as possible.

  • Hi Jayden,

Unfortunately, i don't know the difference off the top of my head. I'll run this by someone who focuses on these HiRel parts and get back to you soon.

    Thanks,
    Shashank

  • Hi Jayden,

Sorry for the delay. Here's some explanations for each part:

5962R0722901VXA is the original radiation qualified part to 100 krad at high dose rate only in the metal can.   The “X” indicates the part is in the metal can.   This part is tested at high dose rate only.   The performance of the part at low dose rate is unknown but the part would probably have Enhance Low Dose Rate Sensitivity (ELDRS).

5962R0722961VXA is a version of the LM117HV that is qualified 100 krad at low dose rate.  The product does have ELDRS, which means that the parametric drift at low dose rate is greater than that at high dose rate.  For radiation testing, this part has an overtest margin of 1.5X.  Each wafer is tested and qualified at a low dose rate of 10 mrad/s.   To be rated 100 krad, the sensitive parameters must be within 66% of the post rad test limits.  See attached radiation report.  The “6” in the device number indicates that the part has ELDRS, it is tested and qualified at 10 mrad/s and that an over test is used.4278.LM117HVHRLQMLV Low Dose Rate Report.pdf

5962R0722902VZA and 5962R0722962VZA are the LM117HV in the ceramic flatpack as indicated by the “Z” in the SMD number.   These products were originally device 01 and device 61, same as the metal can options.   For the flatpack “Z” options, the ceramic material was changed.   When this package material was changed, the device number was changed from 01 to 02 and 61 to 62.   So, going from 01 to 02 has nothing to do with the radiation rating, but with the change in package material.  The same die and radiation qualification is used for both the 01 and 02.   The parts in the metal can did not change to device 02 because the metal can material did not change.

    Thanks,
    Shashank
