LM3671 - Still Recommended for New Designs?

Other Parts Discussed in Thread: LM3671, LMR10510, LM26480, LM3370

Hi,

I am wondering if the LM3671 is still an active part with no plans to EOL?

My customer is doing a board spin for cost-reduction and is wondering if they should switch to a newer device.

I noticed this is our lowest-cost device which fits their application. We do have newer devices in the same price range, but they are optimized for different output voltages (such as the LMR10510):

LMR10510: SIMPLE SWITCHER 5.5Vin, 1A Step-Down Voltage Regulator in SOT-23

Thanks!

Alex

  • Hi Alex,

This is a part of a family of successful components; new designs are continued coming in.   There is also a -Q1 part for automotive.  if you need a dual there is lm3370; dual bucks, dual LDOs- the lm26480 and more.  There is a growing demand on these cost effective and time proven parts in consumer, infotainment, automotive, etc. arenas. No EOL in sight!
