TPS53511 Auto-skip mode PWM output

Other Parts Discussed in Thread: TPS53511, TPS53319

Hi, team,

I have one question about TPS53511 PWM output in auto-skip mode.

For some DCAP devices, like TPS53319/53353, when in light load, devices enter into auto-skip mode. Converter high-side MOSFET will be ON for constant time and then OFF to wait the output voltage to fall down. Usually the OFF time in DCM mode will be longer than in CCM mode. For TPS53511 auto-skip mode, is it the same operation with TPS53319/53353? My customer found there were several PWM output and then the device would wait for a long time for output voltage drop, therefor the output ripple will be larger. Please refer to as below. Could you help check whether it is normal for TPS53511?

upper: normal CCM mode

middle: normal auto-skip DCM mode

lower: TPS53511 customer waveform captured

Thanks.
