TPS27081A turn on threshold

Hello,

In datasheet, it is mentioned that minimum ON/OFF pin voltage required is 1.0V for high level input.

However, we have observed the circuit to turn on with 0.5V on the pin.

What is the minimum voltage, when the device gets turned ON?

  • Hi Mahendra,

The 1.0V is the minimum for the high level input voltage (VIH).  Meaning, you are guaranteed the device will turn with this voltage or a higher voltage.  The datasheet also provides values for the low level input voltage (VIL).   This defines the threshold you can be sure the device is turned off.   The actual threshold could be anywhere between VIL,max and VIH,min.

I hope this helps.  Let me know if you have any other questions about this.
