TPS92641EVM EXTEND VIN RANGE

Other Parts Discussed in Thread: TPS92641EVM, TPS92641

Hi e2e,

We have a customer that is usig the TPS92641EVM.  They want to extend the input operating voltage of this EVM from 43V - 53V to 43V - 85V and want to know which components to change and what voltage rating to use.  The Vin range of the TPS92641 is 7V to 85V.  Looking at the EVM schematic  it appears that D1, D2, Q1, Q2, C6, C1, C2, C4 and C5 could be affected.  D1, D2, C1 & C2 are rated at 100V on the EVM.  The remaining components, Q1, Q2, C4, C5 & C6 are all rated at 50V or under.  If the voltage rating of these components were increased to 100V would there be anything else to consider in order to extend the EVM's max Vin to 85V?

Thanks for your help.

Regards,

John Wiemeyer
