one of my customer collected some circuits from TI webench .They have tested the circuits for LM2585 and LM2588. They are giving input source as 24Vac and convert into DC by bridge (IN4007 diodes) and filter capacitor 2200uF/50V . Out put of the bridge (33vrms) is connected to supply pin of IC .In no load condition the open voltage is 85 Vdc, but if they connect load the input current raise to 2A-5A at 5Vac itself .They have used load as T8 tube light with the spec 60v/300mA) for LM2585 and Flood light spec 40V/1A for LM2588. I suggested them to put 1-10K resistor in between LM2588/LM2588 input pin and voltage which they are giving to reduce the current it is taking from the source but again it is not working. Kindly help to sort out the issue. I attached the circuits which they have taken from TI webench .
