PoE Present detection

I have a question regarding the PoE Present block in Figure 4 on page 6 of SLAV306A and the subsequent figures 5 and 6: Does PoE present detection only work with the diode DVDD installed, i.e. PoE priority?

Is there a way to detect PoE Present with adapter priority and without DVDD?

Hi Michael,

There needs to be a way to block the adapter voltage from the PoE side so that the PSE can still detect, classify, and startup. For PoE priority, DVDD should be used.
