LM22674MRE-ADJ/NOPB Thermal Pad SR#1-1584718440

Other Parts Discussed in Thread: LM22674

The customer would like to know if the thermal pad on the LM22674MRE-ADJ/NOPB is internally connected to ground or not as he will be having a negative voltage on ground.

-12V to -15V converter:  (See attached file: 12VN_15VN converter.PNG)
This uses the LM22674.  They initially had GND-EP tied to earth ground, but that did not work.  They have since floated this pin and the circuit is working correctly.  In the new schematic (shown in the picture) they plan to tie the exposed pad to pin 6, but want to make sure that this is the correct/optimum thing to do.

Any information on the internal electrical connection of the thermal pads for these parts is greatly appreciated.
