Hi,

We are using the Device TPS2592BA for one of the SSD designs.

1) Is it mandatory to use the Back FET drive functionality (BFET: Pin 9)
2) Can the pin BFET (pin:9) be left as floating, If not using the BFET function?

Hello Akshat,

No, it is not mandatory to use the BFET functionality, Though this is a special feature we have in this part. it prevent Holdup capacitance energy to dump back by blocking reverse current flow from output to input whenever input fails

Yes , you can left it floating if not used.
