I don't know how it is on other TI fuel gauge ICs but it is a pitty that on bq20z45/bq20z65 it is not possible to set temperature dependent thresholds for "CUV Threshold" and "FD/TDA Set Volt Threshold". More and more "low temperature" LiIon cells have a comparatively high End-of-Discharge voltage at higher temperatures (e.g. 3V at +40°C) while allowing to discharge to a much lower voltage at low temperatures (e.g. 2V at -30°C). So adjusting "CUV Threshold" and "FD/TDA Set Volt Threshold" on bq20z45/z65 is always a compromise and will never allow to use maximum performance of such cells at low resp. very low temperatures. It would be nice if there would be also such ST, LT and HT thresholds, just as for "COV".
Are there any fuel guage ICs which include this? If not, would be very nice if future ICs would include such features. :)
