Basically, yes. The desired current limit can be chosen through the ILIM_SEL pin. The reason the change/select the current limits will depend on CTL pin choice too and the type of host (CDP, SDP, DCP). You can refer to the truth table on page 19 and 22 for more information.

thanks for the reply.....how does it limit? what i mean is that i shorted the output of the EVM and saw that the fault indicator went active and the output voltage and current went to zero....

Mark,
The behavior of TPS2544 when you do short test is correct: /Fault triggered and output disabled.
TPS2544 can do auto retry, it can recover automaticly when you remove the short condition.
