TPD3S014: simple approach to charge supercapacitor via USB port

Other Parts Discussed in Thread: TPD3S014

Hello, I am working on wearable medical sensor device, where the supercapacitor based power supply is planned. The supercapacitor charging system is not yet designed, so I am looking for advice.

Since the USB port is included on device, I am looking for simple approach to charge supercapacitor (5V 5F) via USB power lines.

1. Question: Is appropriate approach to charge supercapacitor via TPD3S014 from USB port (PC or phone charger)?

2. Additional question: I would like to hear the suggestions about supercapacitor's output voltage regulation.

2.5 V (< 80 mA) output voltage is required. In order to use supecapacitor efficiently the boost or buck/boost converter should be used. I prefer to use TPS61200DRC due the low operationg input voltage.
