LM5175EVM-HP EVM

Hi,

The LM5175EVM-HP can be modified to support up to 12V/17A (204W) for 9V of min VIN. However, 20A at 14V (280W) is certainly beyond that range.

OK, now I understand the limitations of the EVM as supplied.  Are the parts called out but not-populated in the EVM schematic the only changes needed to achieve the 204W target you stated?

In our final design, I can imagine it may be possible to use a buffer between the LM5175 driver output and power FET gates to achieve the needed output current. Has TI designed such a solution to enable my customer's requirement? Buffer transition timing would seem to be critical to avoid cross-conduction and transition problems.

I appreciate the help.

In addtion to populate the FETs and schottky diodes, the current sense resistors also need to be adjusted to meet the new power requirement.
