Other Parts Discussed in Thread: LP5562

Hello,

Could you please let mek now the point of Vsat?
Is the following picture correct?

If yes, Can I use LP5562 with the following conditions?
Vin=3.3V
Vf=3.2V
Iled=10mA

I would like to check we can use this device with battery direct connection or should we use boost converter.

Best Regards,

  • Hello,

    Vsat is the headroom voltage on the LED output, as you have highlighted. Please note that the specification for Vsat is the point where the LED current has already dropped by 10% of the set value.

    With 10mA LED current the typical saturation voltage is about 40mV. So if you can make sure the headroom is 100mV (as in your example) in all conditions (temperature, LED Vf, VIN variation) it is possible to use it without boost converter.

    Thanks.
