BQ24073 maximum output current

Hi,

I've a question regarding BQ24073. For the maximum output current, I understand there are three conditions

  1. Current out – 5A
  2. Current, batt (discharging) – 5A
  3. Current, batt (charging) – 1.5A

 

May I know that:

  1. Under condition of charging, the maximum output current at BQ24073 is 1.5A only?
  2.  The output current only can achieve 5A if andonly if using battery mode?

    Regarding 1, the maximum charge current to the battery at BAT pin is 1.5A.

    Regarding 2, The maximum output current at OUT pin is 5A. The maximum current from the imput is 1.6A, in order to achieve 5A at the OUT pin, the battery has to suppliment the 3.4A to support 5A at the output. This is part of the power path function.
