    I am designing a system that uses an 18650 2400mAh battery (single battery therefore single cell application) as its main power source. The battery is to be charged from the USB bus, but my device needs to be useable while charging. I have taken all project requirements into account and have determined that I need an IC that can manage the charging process as well as control the power path based on the current power situation (dead battery, usb present, etc.). The BQ24193 seems to match all of my requirements, and I am about to begin playing with the evaluation board.
