Hi Expert,

My customer would like to know is there any side effect about Enable pin and Vin power sequence.

If EN pin signal is enable before Vin power source, is there any side effect ot is this not allowed?

Please advise.

    Hi Paul,

    The EN pin can go higher than Vin; however, the customer should be aware that this can turn on some internal diodes permitting the output to rise. The output will not reach it's full set value until Vin is higher than Vout + Dropout; however, it will not remain low. As a result, the customer may choose to hold EN low until there is sufficient Vin to regulate the output.
