Hello Sir,

I am planning to use LMZ13610 for one of my automotive application

I want to convert a 12V DC (from a Car battery) to 5V DC with 5A of output current requirement. Please provide the circuit for same. I have tried to use WEBENCH for referance design, but every time I am getting some error & unable to proceed

I have attached a Webench design. I assumed a certain input voltage range and temperature. If these are not correct for you applications, let me know and I will re-design.

Hello Sir,

I have implemented the same configuration as suggested for input range 10-36V DC & 5V DC-5A output ratings for the IC LMZ13610 but I am getting only 1A of current at the output when I attached a load of 5ohm,50W

Please suggest

Are you saying that you tried to get more than 1A and the design would not give more than 1A ?

The 5 Ohm will give 1A at 5V.

Thanks for the reply, I want 5A of current at the load, Which would be the suitable valued resistor i'll need to connect at the output of the circuit to get that?

Hi Shruti,

The relationship goes as follows for the output load current: Resistance = Output Voltage / Required Current

For your application:
1ohm load resistor = 5A of load current @5Vout
