Is there any reason LM5101AMX or UCC27201A should not be used in a non-isolated synchronous BOOST DC-DC converter? "Synchronous-boost converter" is not listed as one of the applications in either datasheet; I understand that the applications lists are not exhaustive lists... The high-side driver will drive an N-channel MOSFET that goes where a diode would go in a typical boost converter. I have built prototypes using LM5101AMX. 2 of 3 prototypes failed under the same test conditions. In both failures, the low-side driver output is shorted to ground; no other components were damaged. I will build a prototype using UCC27201A.
