issue with tps40054

i have designed a power supply circuit (24v,12A) using TPS40054 by switcher pro,but it in not giving the proper output]

design spec
ic: TPS40054
input min : 30v
input max : 36v
output voltage : 24v
output current : 12A

PROBLEM
it is giving 24v output when the input is 28v, but it is giving only 20v when the input is 30v to 35v at the same time it is producing some sound also.when i increase the input voltage from 36v to 38v it is giving proper output.please help me to solve this.

Can you post your schematic and waveforms of operation when the output is correct as well as when it is incorrect?

I doubt that you followed the switcherpro results for that design as there are significant differences between your schematic and the switcherpro design. you need to follow the switcherpro bill of materials exactly if you expect the design to function properly. Especially the FET switches, output inductor and output capacitors. can you modify your board to follow the BOM exactly?

the only change from y\the switcher pro circuit and my circuit is the mosfet the capacitor am using as per the switcher pro only

can we change the values of the capacitors and resistors as p[er the current mosfet in my circuit using the formulas in the datasheet

if it is possible what all the thing i have to be taken care

I just probed the HDRV and LDRV pins and am attaching the image file with this mail.

still the ic is getting heat up and making some sound

please take a look and tell me is their is any problem

actually am giving an input of 34v , 2.8A and i connected a load of 1.8A ..do i need to make any change in this things
