My customer ask me whether ECS(Energy Conservation Standards) Level 6 have to be required in the POE application named by PoE Adapter, Midspan PSE or PoE Injector from 2016.
Those products are basically composed of AD-DC SMPS with PSE Controller. AD-DC SMPS itself can satisfy the regulation of ECS Level 6 which is required lower power consumption of 0.1W at standby mode.
By the way, cannot if the PSE controller is adopted into AC-DC SMPS. FYI, I cannot find any PoE Adapter supplier which can satisfy ECS Level 6 in the market. Is the ECS Level 6 for PoE mandatory from 2016?
One more question for PoE royalty, I have heard that Nextwork-1 and Chrimar systems Inc(CMS) in the USA concerned the infringement of the their patens for Iclass setup by resistance.
Could you let me know whether my customers have to pay an additional royalty for them if my customers want to export PoE Products using PSE and PD device from TI?
