UCC28630 and TIDesign PMP10335

Other Parts Discussed in Thread: PMP10335, UCC28630, PMP

Hello,

Can you buy/sample a TI design specifically : PMP10335?

Furthermore, the UCC28630 part looks relatively new is there any way of determining TI's intention on its life cycle?  Or what is TI's typical part life span?

Thanks for any/all feedback!

  • Hi Jeff,

The PMP are reference designs that are developed to allow the customer to order the parts and PCB and build the design themselves, so TI does not keep stock of the design.

The UCC28630 has been released for nearly two years and the typical life span would be in excess of 15 years with many parts over 20 years.

    Regards

  • PMP10335 - Is there any information about low load regulation?  Basically how stable would the 12 Volt output be with a load down to about 1 Watt?  My application may at times be below 5 Watts.

    Thank you for any feedback!

  • Hi Jeff,

If you look at the load regulation results in the table in the test results pdf you can see that the output is 12.3V at 3W load. The design will have a pre-load resistor so the no-load output voltage should be pretty close to that value.

Take a look at the UCC28630 EVM the no-load output voltage 19.5V for a 19V output design.

    Regards

    Peter
