Charging issue with BQ24753A IC

Other Parts Discussed in Thread: BQ24750, BQ24753A, BQ24753
Dear All,

We have used BQ24750 battery charging IC in our board. With this IC 7.4V,2000mAh lithium ion battery(2-Cell) is able to charge without any issues. Now we are redesigning the board with BQ24753A (recommended by Texas instruments for new designs) battery charging IC.So I am evaluating the BQ24753A IC in our old design board to see the functionality. The following changes I have done in the old design board :
1.DPMDET# pin(Pin No. 21) which is pulled up to VREF with 10k in the case of BQ24750 now made as pulldown with 10k because in BQ24753A pin no.21 is LEARN which should be pulled down for normal operation according to the datasheet.
2.TS pin(Pin No. 8) which is connected to voltage divider logic from VREF to TS pin to ground in the case of BQ24750 now made as voltage divider logic from adapter input to OVPSET pin to ground because in BQ24753A pin no.8 is OVPSET which is to set overvoltage protection threshold.

With the above settings for BQ24753A IC,the 7.4V,2000mAh battery is not able to charge. The charge percentage is not at all increasing. Let me know any additional hardware/software changes required apart from the above changes? And let me know how we can debug this issue so that we can quickly move ahead for the new design with BQ24753A IC.
Regards,
Siddharth
