Battery charger VQFN-BQ24260 Replacement

we are looking for a form, fit, functional replacement for the BQ24260 VQFN package as the product page has it listed as not recommended for new design(NRFND). Specifically we looking direct replacement for a battery management IC BQ24260  having similar pitch and pin placements and characteristics....
IC BQ24261M is one but same issue of NRFND.

we found one more IC BQ25896. The datasheet provided online doesn’t have detailed pin description, electrical characteristics pages missing. is it possible to get full detailed datasheet for this new product IC BQ25896 battery charger. Any other suggestions are greatly appreciated.
