    Hello,

     

    The main difference is in the current consumption when device is in sleep mode. LP5523 has the ability to shut down the oscillator when LEDs are off and save power that way. The sequences can run then on the external clock.

    Second benefit is in applications where multiple LP5523 are run on the same time. With external clock it is possible to synchronize the devices.
