LP38693-ADJ Quiescent shutdown current - more information?

Other Parts Discussed in Thread: LP38693-ADJ

Hi There,

I am looking at using the LP38693-ADJ - 500mA Low Dropout CMOS Linear Regulators with Adjustable Output Stable with Enable pin. The datasheet states the quiescent current during shutdown (EN < 0.4) is 0.001uA typ /  1uA max.

Can you tell me the conditions for typ vs. max? e.g. If I operated between -20c and 60c what would be the Iq shutdown, running from a battery - say 4.2V to 3V.

My configuration is to output 1V8, using 6k2 and 12k.

Worst case, I'll put a FET in front to make the shutdown 100nA.

Many thanks,

James

  • Hi James,

The typical Iq values in the datasheet are specified at TJ = 25°C, VIN = VOUT + 1 V.
The Max value are specified at the full operating temperature range through testing and validation of thousands of units.

The Iq for the operating parameters that you mentioned is between those ranges, but unfortunately we cannot provide/guarantee an exact Iq value for your application parameters.

    Kind regards,

    Antony
